The Reformed Church established some of the oldest congregations in the Ohio region. The oldest Reformed congregation in Ohio was held in the homes of Clear Creek settlement residents near Springboro, Warren County, Ohio. St. John Church was orgnanzed a Germantown in Montgomery County in 1809. The Evangelical and Reformed Church formed in 1934 by the merger of the Reformed Church and the Evangelical Synod of North America. The Evangelical and Reformed Church merged with the Congregational Church and to form the United Church of Christ (UCC) in Cleveland in 1957. The Church moved its headquarters from New York to Cleveland in 1990.
