LGBTQ+ History Research at the Archives & Library of the Ohio History Connection

Ohio Memory is a free website where you can explore digital content from nearly 400 cultural heritage institutions across the state. While LGBTQ+ content can be found throughout the site, two collections explicitly focus on this history:

  • The GOHI Collection on Ohio Memory offers access to scanned photographs and other digital material from the Ohio History Connection's  museum and archival collections.

  • The GOHI Community Collection contains digital items shared by people who want to make Ohio's LGBTQ+ history more widely available. The Ohio History Connection does not own these items, but we work to preserve them and make them accessible.
